This Leicestershire based Ceilidh Band is a lively 2-5 piece, playing a range of traditional folk music from English hornpipes to Irish jigs and reels.
Ceilidhs
No experience of barn dancing is necessary, they will provide a caller to take your guests through each dance (although half the fun is getting it wrong and trying to catch up!). They will also select dances that fit a variety of age groups so that everyone can get involved.
The Duo
If it’s a duo you’re after then Steve and Nikki can provide a selection of fine rocking Celtic music, including well-known Irish traditional and contemporary jigs, reels and songs. They can also play a wide range of 60s and 70s rock ‘n’ roll! And, if you would like some background music they will serenade your guests with a mixture of classical, medieval and jazz, creating the perfect ambience!
Themed Events
The Leicester Ceilidh Band can also perform in appropriate period costume playing period songs and tunes; this can be Scottish, Irish or even an American Ho-Down!
Whether you’re looking for a folk duo or Ceilidh barn dance, this band will provide great music and entertainment for your event!

Nikki - Fiddle
Nikki has travelled extensively around the world playing fiddle with a multitude of bands and is a truly dazzling fiddler, particularly in Irish and Gypsy music styles.
Steve - Guitar & Mandola
In this band, Steve plays Mandola for the jigs and reels, and guitar for the songs and old time melodies. He is also a wonderful singer / songwriter with a huge influence on his local folk scene.
They played some great tunes and the dances included some which were new to the experienced dancers amongst our guests, which is always a good thing! The caller was very relaxed and entertaining, and we've had a lot of compliments from guests about the entire band.
Please pass on our thanks to everyone - they helped to make our evening really special and rounded off a perfect day.
Elizabeth & Christopher Gray - Wedding
Thank you all for your lovely music at our party. Everyone has been saying what a wonderful time they had. So many very reluctant dancers got up and had a go and to their surprise loved it! You really helped to make it a very special party.
John, Elaine and Isobel - 20th Wedding Anniversary
Many thanks for your energy and music at our wedding, we all had a lovely time.
Liz and John Taylor - Wedding
Just a quick line to thank you and the guys for giving us all such wonderful entertainment yesterday evening. A terrific performance that will be remembered here for a long time to come (as will be the unusual sight of the Lord Lieutenant dancing on the gravel!).
With all good wishes,
Carsten Pigott - Voluntary Action Rutland - 1 Jul 2012
