Audrey is a professional harpist based in Warwickshire and is especially in demand for weddings and corporate work. Her engagements have included playing for royalty and celebrities.
Professional
On qualifying from the Royal College of Music she was appointed Principal Harp with the BBC Northern Ireland Orchestra and Ulster Orchestras. After six years in Northern Ireland, Audrey moved to the Midlands to freelance with many of the major symphony orchestras. She was also the first call harpist with the Royal Shakespeare Company and Birmingham Opera Company.
Weddings & events
In recent years Audrey has focused on solo playing and is in demand for Weddings and Corporate work. Her engagements have included playing for royalty and celebrities. She regularly plays at prestigious hotels in the Midlands including Coombe Abbey, Nailcote Hall, and Ettington Park hotels.
Free consultation
Audrey offers a free consultation of up to 30 minutes for clients that book her to play for a wedding ceremony. This consultation takes place at her home near Warwick and gives you a unique opportunity to choose the music for your ceremony by first hearing it performed live. Audrey is of course able to give advice during the consultation on which pieces may work best.
Teaching
Audrey has a busy private teaching practice and also teaches the harp at Uppingham and Oakham Schools and Malvern Girls College. She runs ‘Harps in Harmony’ (ensemble workshops) and has been involved in workshops and performances for children in schools, museums and galleries with ‘Phoenix Flute & Harp Duo’ since 1980.
Audrey also plays in the ‘Phoenix Flute & Harp Duo’ and with soprano singer Marie-Louise Allard.
