Acoustic singers see a surge in popularity
Published: 2 Jul 14, 11:05am | Author: DG Music
Acoustic artists are just about the purest sound you can get when it comes to live music.
Their stripped back performances rely totally on the sounds their instruments or voices can make, with no electronic influence.
They are also one of the most adaptable types of musician, which makes acoustic singers well worth considering if you’re hosting any type of event. And many of DG Music’s acoustic artists are Leicestershire bands which makes them ideally placed to travel to events all across the country.
Acoustic wedding bands are particularly popular with young couples who are planning a contemporary day. They strike a great balance between the prestige of having live musicians at your event and being able to choose modern music to suit your own taste.
Take a look at this video of Joel & Martha performing Kiss Me by Sixpence None The Richer.
Many people can often worry that booking a live musician for a wedding means you have to stick to traditional music, although this is very rarely the case and definitely not an issue with acoustic singers.
One of our most popular acoustic singers is Calder who performs an eclectic mix of songs from Adele to The Killers. His versatility is typical of this genre of music, with all our top acoustic singers offering a wide choice of songs to suit all tastes.
Northern-based Lucy is one of our great female wedding singers. She too can turn her hand to tunes by the likes of Doris Day and Lady Gaga.
If you are looking for an acoustic duo for hire we also have a great selection to choose from. 2Acoustic, Calder and Hartmann, Monroe and Joel & Martha are popular choices who always please their audiences.
Here is a clip of 2 Acoustic.
Many of our acoustic singers perform regularly at local pubs and restaurants so there is often an opportunity to see them perform live before you commit to making a booking.
Adam Ellis, Joel & Martha and Monroe are among those to perform regularly so why not check out our what’s on guide to see where you can catch them?
Including an acoustic act at your event really can make the difference between it being good and being great. Our singers are hugely talented and are sure to make an impression on your guests without being too distracting.
They fit perfectly into drinks receptions, garden parties, wedding breakfasts and festivals.
