2 Acoustic to entertain Bushcraft crowds

Adventurers will have the chance to enjoy a performance by one of DG Music’s fabulous acoustic duos at this year’s Bushcraft Show.

Musicians Adam and Paula, of 2 Acoustic, will perform at the event to provide a touch of relaxing entertainment against a backdrop of action-packed outdoor adventure.

The show is sponsored by a number of outdoor companies including Bushcraft and Survival Skills Magazine, Woodland Ways, 1948 Original Equipmeny, Nordic Outdoor and BG Craghoppers. It gives people the chance to learn survival skills for the great outdoors in a weekend of live demonstrations, have a go sessions and talks by survival experts.

The weekend also features activities for young visitors and live music and dance performances, which is where 2 Acoustic are set to shine.

This talented duo, who trained at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, turn their talents to songs from across the decades and have a repertoire which includes the likes of Que Sera Sera by Doris Day and We’ll Meet Again by Vera Lynn through to RIP by Rita Ora.

Vocalist Paula has performed at the Henley Festival and worked with the director of Cirque du Soleil, Luc Petit. Pianist and guitarist Adam has supported acts including Sam Sparro, The Wombats and Tynchy Stryder.

The duo will provide a chance for vsitors to catch their breath amongst the huge range of bushcraft activities taking place across the weekend.

There will be open water canoeing, archery, axe throwing, campfire cooking, tracking, firelighting, rifle shooting, widerness fiest aid, expedition preparation and more.

Massai Warriors from the Rift Valley in Kenya will teach cultural dance and native beadwork while younger visitors can track animals in the woods, learn about wildlife, play woodland games, meet birds of prey, have a go on the low ropes course and learn to whittle and weave.

This year’s guest speakers include Deadly 60 presenter Steve BackshallCody Lundin, of the Discovery Channel’s series Dual Survivor, tracking instructor David Scott-Donelan, Swedish Armed Forces officer Johan Skullman, John 'Lofty' Wiseman who wrote The SAS Survival Guide, tracking expert Perry McGee and British canoeing legend Ray Goodwin.
