Blue Bell Inn situated in Nottinghamshire

The Blue Bell is located in the small village of Gringley on the Hill in rural North Nottinghamshire, close to the busy market towns of Gainsborough, Retford and Bawtry.

Jazz History

The village of Gringley on the Hill has a long history of hosting jazz events.  For many years they held an annual concert known as Jazz on the Hill, which was attended by several hundred people year after year but eventually ceased after a number of years.  So, due to popular demand over a year ago the new owners started ‘Jazz at the Pub on the Hill, which is held on the first Sunday of the month, usually in the evening. The jazz is accompanied with tapas food and is always well received.

Regular Events

The pub also has regular acoustic musicians play at the pub throughout the year. In the summer they intend to hold more outdoor events in the pub garden similar to the Jazz & Beer Festival which was held during the summer of 2013. All tastes are catered for and they even have local folk musicians meeting twice a month to play their brand of music.

Tasty Food

They have a traditional pub menu which serves up treats such as their very own Blue Bell Pie or some tasty fish and chips.  They are well known for the range steaks they have on offer which include exotics such as Springbok, Water Buffalo and Kangaroo alongside the regular British Rump and Rib Eye.
