The Jessica & The Rabbits band is the epitome of 1950s glamour with the attitude and flamboyance of the twenty-first century. This sassy, UK-based jazz band from Nottingham is made up of four very talented musicians featuring all that was great about 1950s music.


Jessica and her band can offer background music for guest arrival or during dinner as well as more up-tempo numbers to get everyone moving on the dance floor! This band is available as either a full band including vocals, double bass, drums and piano or as a duo vocals and piano.

50s Glamour

Jessica aka Kate Cox is not only a great entertainer but has a wonderfully, authentic voice which lends itself to the genre perfectly and her unique, quirky 50s style will add glamour and class to any wedding or party. Her repertoire includes all of the greats from Ella Fitzgerald to Doris Day.


Accompanying Jessica are 3 talented and professional jazz musicians with wealth of experience between them. Individually they have worked with the likes of Vic Damone, The Glenn Miller Tribute Orchestra and The English National Ballet.

Paul - Piano

Paul has toured Europe and the UK extensively. With influences from Duke Ellington to Herbie Hancock, he is a constantly inventive arranger andcomposer making him a much sought after player, performer and collaborator.

Simon - Bass

Has performed on main stages at Glastonbury, Top Of The Pops, The Marquee, The Heavenly Social, Rock City, The Blue Note, Rescue Rooms, Dingwalls, Jazz Steps at Bonnington Theatre, Djanogly Recital Hall, Newark Jazz Festival, and many festivals and gigs throughout Europe. He was also picked out by Humphrey Littleton as part of the trio to win ‘Jazz Buskers of the Year’ in 1992.

Record releases on Warners, London Records, Arista, Breastfed, Dope on Plastic/Beats By Dope Demand, Tru Thoughts, Ninja Tune, Tummy Touch, Peace Feast, Kool Groove, Nuphonic, DiY, Glasgow Underground, Neon Heights, Deft, and with artists as diverse as Chaka Khan, Whitney Houston, amillionsons & ‘Crazy P’. As if this wasn't enought he's also undertaken compositions for MTV, Central ITV, TCM, GEL, A-Bomb and The Cartoon Network.

Jon - Drums

Jon Richmond grew up in Vancouver, Canada. After completing his musical studies, he began a career as a freelance musician, which included several years working on-board cruise ships. He now resides with his family in Lincolnshire, and plays regularly with jazz, pop and orchestral groups nationally.

Kate - Vocals

Kate - Vocals

Kate, aka Jessica, has a fantastic ability to both entertain and sing. Her fabulous personality and authentic 50s vocals and style lends itself perfectly to this band. Her influences are as varied as her ability, ranging from Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone, Doris Day to Florence Welch and Beyoncé Knowles.
