All Ceilidh Bands (pronounced ‘Kaylee’) include a dance caller who instructs the dances and a live band consisting of a combination of instruments such as fiddle, flute, accordion, acoustic guitar or mandola, bass and drums or percussion.The music played is a combination of Irish, Scottish, Gaelic and American folk music.

The terms Ceilidh and Barn Dance are interchangeable with there being no significant difference between the two. Both involve pair-dancing in formations of circles, squares and opposing lines.

All participants are taught in a relaxed manner and no prior knowledge or experience is required. The emphasis is on having fun!
