This category includes bands playing Dixieland or Traditional Jazz, an early from of jazz that originated in New Orleans at the start of the 20th century. Louis Armstrong was perhaps the most famous Dixieland artist, and popular trad jazz tunes include When the Saints Go Marching In and Basin Street Blues. In the UK, more recently, traditional jazz has been made famous by Kenny Ball, Humphrey Lyttleton and Chris Barber.
