Originating in New Orleans at the start of the 20th century, dixieland jazz typically consists of three frontline instruments, including clarinet, trombone and trumpet, and a rhythm section of banjo, double bass and drums.

They are often largely acoustic and so great for garden parties, fêtes and family events.
