Wedding Bands

Twister is a fantastic 4 piece party band with a Celtic twist! The addition of an Irish fiddle means that this pop and rock band can also play jigs and reels to get your audience really moving!

Twister's set is geared very much towards keeping people on the dance floor and generating a party atmosphere, with their strong harmonies, quality vocals, and energetic performances. Twister are perfect for weddings and special events with the ability to throw in the relevant genres to suit all ages.

The Irish fiddle adds a whole new dimension to any rock set, and also gives us the jigs and reels that energise the night in a whole different way. Our fiddle players are all from the top of their professions and are of world class standard, with backgrounds in feature film soundtrack recording and classical recitals as well as being steeped in the traditions of Celtic fiddle.

Twister are often booked for events that require an element of Irish music – traditional and non-traditional. From the haunting sounds of Riverdance, to the gentle waltzing of Molly Malone… from the fiery vigor of Whiskey In The Jar, to the stirring, anthemic sounds of The Fields Of Athenry. Our fiddle players have grown up playing Celtic fiddle – it’s fair to say it’s in their blood. As a band, Twister cut their teeth in the Irish pubs across London. There’s nothing better than a solid reel or jig to bring a crowd together – and raise the roof at the end of the night.

The setlists vary for different events – even for the full on Irish events, we will blend in a few non traditional songs, though keep them fiddle driven. It gives everyone a chance to dance and enjoy the night!

Alexis - Vocals & Guitar

Alexis is frontman. He sings, plays guitar, and programs loops, effects and keyboard sequences that appear throughout the Twister set. As well as his work with Twister he plays solo and duo gigs at all sorts of venues and to all sorts of people. There are not many audience situations that at some point he has not had to deal with, and he seems to know just about every song ever written, apart from Lady in Red.

Alistair - Bass & Vocals

Alistair the bass player also sings and fronts the band. Having been the singer/song writer of Redwood, signed to Almo Sounds, who toured with Feeder and released two albums, he now pursues a solo career of writing and producing, when he is not out rocking with Twister.

Chris - Drums & Vocals

Chris Hughes plays drums, sings, and occasionally harangues the audience. Previously in Redwood with Alistair, before joining Mindwire, he completes the three part vocal harmonies that you will hear throughout the live set. He also DJs between, before and after the live band sets, playing disco tracks or any other recorded music that might be required.
