The Jivin' Joes are an 11 piece Swing and Jive band based in the South of England. They specialize in the dance music of the Jump Jive era.

Repertoire
Their repertoire is a blend of old-school R&B, Jump Blues, and Classic Swing, combining the music of legends like Louis Prima, Louis Jordan, Joe Williams, and Frank Sinatra, with the songs of contemporary swing 'revival' bands such as Indigo Swing, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and Lavay Smith.

Too many to mention but here's a start...

Annie - Vocals

Annie grew up with the love of 1940s and 50s music, ranging from The Andrew Sisters to Jerry Lee Lewis. Annie’s major influences are Ruth Brown, Etta James and Ella Fitzgerald.

Howard - Vocals

Howard was in his teens when he fell in love with Jazz and swing music. Inspired by legends like Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin and Louis Prima he learnt the art of swing when he began to sing along to old records given to him by his grandmother. Howard has great vocal tone, phrasing, diction with a unique and style of his own.

Martin - Baritone Sax

Band leader and Baritone Saxophone player Martin has been dancing and teaching Lindy Hop, East Coast Swing, Modern Jive and Rock ‘n Roll for over 20 years, and decided he had better start a band before his knees gave out completely!

Rachel - Alto Saxophone

Rachel plays first alto in The Jivin' Joes has played in bands since she started playing the saxophone. She loves playing and listening to a wide range of music especially playing swing music, oh! and not to mention the love of shoes!!!!
