Calder and Hartmann are an exciting and uptempo acoustic duo based in Leicester, whose combination of expressive guitar skills and powerful vocals provide excellent entertainment for a variety of events.

They are equally capable of getting people dancing and singing along or can just provide more relaxed background music. Their set list crosses all genres and they perform classic ballads and modern indie next to funk, rock classics and pop music with equal ability.

Powerful Vocals

A major feature of this acoustic covers duo is the voice of front man Calder. He has a rich and powerful sound which is well suited to the music of artists such as The Stereophonics, Kings of Leon, Newton Faulkner and Rod Stewart. He also sings funk and hip-hop tracks and displays a great range of styles.

Dynamic Guitarist

Benn Hartmann's guitar playing is a great match for Calder's voice. He fuses funk riffs and lead guitar parts into their set and enables them to cover a huge variety of artists and genres. His ability to replicate the full sound of the tracks they cover adds huge dynamics to the act.

Percussion

A new feature for the duo is the addition of a percussion instrument called a Cajon which Calder plays. Essentially a wooden box with metal snare wires inside, the Cajon can sound very similar to a full drum kit and adds a rythmical edge to the duo's sound. This allows them to fill a dancefloor with ease.
