Dudley Moore's Birthday

The supremely talented actor, comedian and musician Dudley Moore CBE would have been 77 today!
Dudley Moore CBE was well know as an actor and comedian but was also a hugely talented musician and composer. He was an accomplished jazz pianist citing his influences as Oscar Peterson and Errol Garner. He worked with John Dankworth and Cleo Laine and went on to form his own jazz trio.
We'd like to share this wonderful video clip with you of Dudley Moore (who passed away in 2002) showing off his ability to marry his musical talent with his comedic skills. We miss you Dudley!
Another musical fact about today....
The Rogers and Hammerstein musical hit 'Carousel' opened on Broadway today in 1945. In 1999, Time magazine named it the best musical of the 20th century.
